English and Germans interested in HTP Fontanta in Vrnjacka Banja
Seven buyers, two from England and Germany and others from Serbia, are interested in the acquisition of Vrnjacka Banja-based HTP Fontana, a complex comprising major part of spa capacity.
HTP Fontana has been a subject of unsuccessful privatizations for a few
times already and with the capacity of 800 beds in its four facilities it is
the biggest hotel house in Serbia and it is at the same time the main carrier
of tourist offer in Vrnjacka Banja. Fontana comprises four hotels, two
overnight stay places and three restaurants, plus additional facilities.
In 2005, Fontana went private but due to privatization, after two years, sales
contract was terminated and since then the company has been in restructuring.
Everything Fontana has is located at the most exclusive locations in Vrnjacka Banja.
Ivan Radovic, company’s Supervisory board member says Fontana became the
issue of entire Vrnjacka Banja.
The Agency for privatization received within deadline of 45 days, seven letters
of interest, two foreign companies, three Serbian but two physical entities
appeared as buyers as well.
