The first liquid oil gas regional terminal in Luka Ploce
In Luka Ploce, in Croatia, today, PDP Group started construction of LOG terminal where EUR 25 m will be invested.
New liquid oil gas terminal should be completed in a
year and a half to two years and it will be used as the access to liquid gas
from other sources in Croatia and region which will contribute to further
market development and gas supplying security, Seebiz portal reports.
The terminal will expand on 24.461 m2 and will have a storage for propane, butane
and their mix which will comprise of underground reservoir of 35.180 m3, i.e.
17.000 tons.
It is the first terminal of this kind at the Croatian side of the Adriatic,
i.e. region.
In November, PPD Group became the biggest individual owner at Luka Ploce with the stake of 24,95%, and the decision to join the ownership structure was initiated with the signing of sub-concession of contract between the group and the port lasting until 2055 which generated pre-conditions for liquid oil gas terminal construction. .
President of Croatia, Ivo Josipovic, attended the beginning of the LOG terminal construction start.
