European firms produce furniture made of Vojvodina oak tree – We export pedunculed oak the most

(Planting and one-year old penduculed oak tree) More than 100 firms operating in wood processing exported to EU 2,3 million kilograms of wood, oak tree in the biggest quantity, PC Vojvodinasume announced.

- Oak tree generated the biggest export of 1.998 cubic meters, olive ash and nut. All exported qunatities are of the most quality class and used for production style furniture made of oak tree and furniture of modern flat lines made of olive ash and nut tree– it was stated in the announcement.

The first class tree from Vojvodina woods, it was added, was mainly bought by companies from Austria, Slovenia, Italy and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Vojvodinasume, as it was stated, is the only company in forestry industry in this area with the Europan certificate of sustainable woods management - FSC, "which proves that products from Vojvodina woods originated through controlled usage of woods and that management and exploitation of woods is in line with strict the international standards, providing of environmental, economic and social functions of woods.”

- This means that wood kinds of Vojvodinasume can be exported without problems to EU or to any other country in the world – it was stated.

The company owns 98.484 ha of wood which is some 7,1% of total area in Vojvodina.
