New Serbia-Romania border crossing opened
Prime Ministers of Serbia and Romania, Aleksandar Vucic and Viktor Ponta, officially opened the Nakovo – Lunga border crossing at Kikinda.
In their mutual addressing, Vucic and Ponta pointed out big friendship and extremely good relations between the two countries.
Serbian Prime Minister said that people from Nakovo, Kikinda, this part of the country, have been waiting for more than 20 years for a border crossing to open and that a small border crossing closed in 2014 but that now this one opened as well as two more which will facilitate communication and cooperation with Romanian friends to large extent.
Citizens of Romania and Serbia will have huge benefits from this border crossing, Vucic said.
The Prime Minister said that our government as well as the government of Viktor Ponte has been working diligently and that they opened this border crossing in only ten months which is a huge success for all of us.
Vucic specifically thanked to Romanian Prime Minister and added he expects excellent cooperation to continue in seven days as well when Ponta becomes the Romanian president.
Vucic pointed out that friendship between Serbia and Romania will last and estimated that the relations have never been better in modern history.
