ProCredit bank approves credits for energy saving - loans to citizens for installation of insulation in amount of 10,000 EUR

ProCredit Bank will join the implementation of the energy efficiency program, of which elaboration is in progress, through approval of credits of up to 10,000 EUR to the citizens for installation of appropriate insulation on roofs and facades.

The Professor from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Branislav Todorović, pointed out that citizens were not interested enough in the energy improvement of their apartments, because the heating expenses were calculated on the basis of the size of the apartment and not on the basis of energy consumption, which would have to be changed.

The representative of the Energy Efficiency Agency, Aleksandar Durković, said that the electric energy participated in heating with 33%, while two thirds of energy were lost.

The Agency has demonstrated the project for energy saving on the heating and lighting installations in 16 municipalities of Serbia, for which it obtained donation in amount of 100,000 EUR. The project manager from the German Organization for Technical Assistance "GTZ", Sabina Nikolić, announced that the House of Energy Values would be built in Novi Beograd, on 3,000 square meters, in which all manufacturer of insulation materials would be able to represent their products.
