Construction of State Road Section Within Mountain Resort Golija Planned

The construction of a state road on the section Golijska Reka – Preko Brdo in the municipality of Ivanjica, within the mountain resort Golija, is planned. On that occasion, Sidprojekt has prepared the detailed regulation plan for the PE Roads of Serbia.

The area covered by the plan is split into the following zones:
– traffic areas:

– IIa-grade state road nos. 197 and 198;
– a roundabout;
– a service road;
– a parking area;
– a footpath;

– protective greenery.

The estimated speed at the section is 40 km/h, and 30 km/h at the intersection. No pedestrian or cycling lanes are planned within the intersection.

A parking area with around 135 parking spaces for passenger vehicles and two bus parking spaces with platforms, also for the daily visitors to the ski track, are planned.

Golijska Reka

Golijska Reka, planned as a center for winter sports and recreational tourism, with its existing capacities and the nearly built ski lift to Jankov Kamen, is a unit which is the first one that can open for serious ski tourism (and other kinds). Because it gravitates toward the highest peak in the Golija area (Jankov Kamen, at an altitude of 1833 meters), it can be a center for the most demanding skiers.
