Works on Entire Novi Sad-Subotica Railway Section to Start in First Days of June

The works on the upper track structure on the new Novi Sad-Subotica railway section, as well as on dismounting the existing infrastructure, between Novi Sad and Rumenka, are in progress, and the plan is for the construction on the entire section to start in the first days of June.

This was said at the meeting between the president of the Government of Vojvodina, Igor Mirovic, with representatives of the consortium of the Chinese companies China Railway International Co and China Communications Construction Co, which are carrying out the works on the railway.

Mirovic said that the state trusted the Chinese companies, considering all the important projects that they had realized in the territory of Serbia up till then.

The section of the fast railway from Novi Sad to Kelebija is 108 kilometers long and it will feature 11 stations and a stop, according to the website of the Government of Vojvodina.
