Paving of Test Sections from Preljina to Pozega Begins – Completion of Works and Equipping of Trbusani Tunnel Soon

The minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, the acting director of the PE Roads of Serbia, Zoran Drobnjak, and the mayor of Cacak, Milun Todorovic, have visited the construction site where the Trbusani Tunnel is being built and a 200-m section near Preljina, on the Milos Veliki highway route, is being paved.

At the Trbusani Tunnel, which is 280 meters long, all the construction works are currently being finished, which, according to the current dynamics, will be completed in the next ten days, when the equipping of the tunnel is supposed to start.

The executive director of the Sector for Strategy, Designing and Development of the PE Roads of Serbia, Miodrag Poledica, pointed out that all the works had been intensified and that the paving of the test sections had begun. He explained that the first subsection, the most important one, went from Preljina to the future Pakovrace Interchange.

At the construction site, all the works are being carried out simultaneously, so that everything that has been promised can be completed by the end of the year, Poledica said.

The length of the section from Preljina to Pozega is 30.9 kilometers and is extremely complex, because nearly a third of the route consists of bridges and tunnels.

This section is part of the E-763 highway, that is, the Belgrade-South Adriatic highway, which connects Serbia and Montenegro, that is, Belgrade and the south Adriatic area.
