The realization of the largest project of the construction and reconstruction of utility infrastructure Clean Serbia officially began with the signing of the relevant annexes between the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, the Chinese investors CRBC and representatives of 14 local self-governments.
Momirovic announced that the plan of the Government of Serbia was for utility infrastructure to be built in over 80% local self-governments in the next five years.
The locations planned for the designing and the execution of the works on the construction of utility (sewer) infrastructure are: Varvarin, Knic, Banja Vrujci, Krupanj, Lajkovac, Mionica, Kucevo, Svrljig, Kladovo, Lazarevac, Veliki Crljeni, Obrenovac, Vranje, Novi Becej, Kragujevac and Novi Sad.
The mayor of Novi Sad, Milos Vucevic, emphasized that the construction of the utility infrastructure was an expectation that dates back decades, regardless of whether it’s the north or the south of Serbia.
Minister Momirovic and the director of CRBC, Zhang Xiaoyuan, signed commercial agreements on the design and construction of the sewer infrastructure and the design and execution of works on the construction of the infrastructure for the disposal of solid municipal waste in Serbia.
The agreements will enable the design and construction of waste water management facilities, sewer systems and pumping stations in 65 local self-governments in 73 locations, as well as the repair or the construction of regional landfills in six locations.
