The minister of finance of Serbia, Sinisa Mali, has met with the World Bank Country Manager for Serbia, Nicola Pontara, to discuss the framework of cooperation with Serbia (CPF) from 2022 to 2026.
At the meeting, it was said that, under the new framework, USD 1.2 billion was meant to be set aside for Serbia.
The cooperation framework projects the strengthening of the macro-fiscal framework for a greener growth, green investments and switching to a low-carbon economy, as well as the improvement of the business environment and regional integration, according to the ministry’s website.
Another aim is to strengthen public finances on the central and local levels and to achieve a better access to quality health and education services for vulnerable groups.
Minister Mali reminded that the cooperation framework, which provides guidelines for activities in the next period, was harmonized every five years and that the previous CPF had lasted between 2016 and 2021.
